Day three of basic skills and product identification! Learned the “express” version of culinary history, learned how to slice and chop onions, shallots, garlic, bell peppers and made orange segments. We had the most delicious foie gras burgers over mashed potatoes, topped with chimichurri and long beans. After class I smashed back to the V for my eye appointment (made it home in an hour, a record!). Had my eyes dilated and ordered more contacts. Came home to finish making my pistachio mascarpone and honey ice cream, roasted potatoes for dinner, and made croutons for our salad. Luckily, rotisserie from the grocery store is never out of fashion. Dinner was covered and dessert was covered. Yet another day under my belt. Looking forward to my field trip tomorrow! :D
