FRIDAY!

Last day on station 5: chickens!! Collected eggs from our beautiful chickens and changed their hay and bedding for next week. After all of our morning chores were finished, we took a trip to the farmer’s market! I have a secret love affair with farmer’s markets hehe! After we shopped and ate goodies for breakfast, we went back to class for a little lecture and more afternoon chores around the kitchen. For lunch we had oysters to celebrate Chef B’s birthday and also celery and mushroom soup, drizzled with truffle oil (DELICIOUS!). We finished our day talking about table etiquette and how to properly set a table. 

For dinner we made homemade pizza’s!! With the dough we had, we were able to make 4 mini pizzas:

  1. salami, onion, mushroom, and olive
  2. pesto, mozzarella, goat cheese, and Parmesan
  3. pesto, potato, zucchini, garlic, and mozzarella
  4. mushroom, garlic, mozzarella, arugula, and truffle sea salt 

Delicioso! Super proud and it cost practically nothing to make pizza that lasted for 3 meals! Not to mention it was so much fun to figure out pizza topping combos and stretching out our own dough. Can’t wait to try this again with all my friends :)
